Sony have added some cracking new surround sound kits to their latest Bravia Home Theatre range. Golf ball-sized speakers, hidden sub-woofers, even a six-foot pillar of glass offering 360 degree sound. Pretty cool.
Our task was to come up with some engaging video content that Sony could use across a variety of contexts (instore, online, trade shows, and so on) that show off the great products and demonstrate Sony’s ‘Clean Living’ ideals where surround sound kits don’t dominate your living room, but integrate with it. Oh, and this content had to still be effective without sound and accompanying sales staff.
We based our solution on a simple key thought: Sony home entertainment systems fill your room with sound, not speakers.
Using this thought we decided to visualise how each speaker set physically projects and fills a room with sound.
We took a host of images of the new speakers installed in a contemporary styled living room and, with a bit of Mac wizardry, created a virtual 3D space. We then created individual identities for each of the four speaker styles using their shape, some unique colour schemes and splashes of Sony content.
Finally, we used these identities to flood our 3D living rooms with visualised sound creating four unique videos.
We think they look brilliant, but why not take a look yourself here.
