Agency / Management Team

As Executive Creative Director, Jeremy ensures that every element of the agency, our processes and our output is as creative and exciting as possible.

Prior to joining Weapon7 in 2008, Jeremy was the co-founder of two pioneering digital agencies in London: Glue (1999) and BloodPartnership (2000).

Majority ownership in Blood Partnership was sold in December 2001 to Chime Communications Plc, the UK’s largest independent communications group. In its first 12 months of trading, BloodPartnership had the unique achievement of winning awards at Cannes, D&AD, The One Show, Clio and London International.

From September 2003 to April 2006, Jeremy was Vice President of Creative at Modem Media. In 2005, Modem Media London was the most awarded digital agency in the UK, and 11th most-awarded worldwide (source: The Cyberwon Report). During his tenure at Modem Media he was responsible for the ‘Interviews from Hell’ microsite, which was the third most-awarded digital work in the world in 2005 (behind Subservient Chicken and Adidas).

In April 2006, he became Creative Director at LBi London (coming from the Wheel side in the merger), which was ranked as No 1 in the UK Top 100 marketing agencies in NMA magazine. Projects he worked on included; the digital campaign launch, across 22 countries, of Sony Playstation3, one of the UK’s first major podcast campaigns for Brahma Beer (featuring Gilles Peterson) which appeared in the top ten podcast download charts and was covered in The Guardian, The Independent and The Sunday Times, as well as major European product launches for Lacoste and Dunhill fragrances.

He has been a jury member at D&AD (2006, 2008 and 2009), Clio Interactive (2003 and 2005), London International (2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009), Cresta awards (2005 - 2011), as well as a judge for The New York Festivals (2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010), Meribel Ad Festival (2008), DMA (2011) and IAB Creative Showcase (2007+). He is one of the UK’s most awarded digital creative directors with 80 category winners, nominations and shortlisted entries at the world’s leading awards shows such as Cannes, D&AD, New York Festivals, Epica, One Show, Clio and London International, in addition to major UK schemes such as Campaign and BIMA.

Prior to switching to digital marketing in 1998, he worked as an above-the-line copywriter in Hong Kong at agencies such as BBDO, Batey and Euro RSCG Ball Partnership, where he began as a trainee copywriter in 1994. He lived in Hong Kong for over five years, and had various jobs before advertising, including working at a major trading company which took him to numerous locations within China and other Asian countries, including six months looking after garment factories in Bangladesh. A keen traveller, he visited 40 countries before the age of thirty.

Jeremy has one daughter and one son; Magnolia and Zentaro. He lives in a 400 year old thatched cottage in Cambridgeshire, which may or may not be haunted. In his spare time he enjoys painting disturbed pictures under the alias ‘Jelly Buckingham’, writing psychological thrillers under the pen name ‘Seth Garner’, collaborating on a music project entitled ‘The Scumm’ with his brother, and playing drums in a couple of bands including Provenance of Squid. He confesses to having a fondness for tepid milk. He finds twitter useful as an addendum to his brain, and he writes regular entries for Brand Republic’s The Wall.
