Tell Gillian

We have launched a campaign to promote Gillian Wearing’s exhibition at the Whitechapel Gallery. Using her Signs series which asked people what was on their minds, we asked people to upload their own signs through Facebook and Twitter  to engage a wider audience for the Gallery.

Get Lost

We know smart owners are impulsive people who enjoy the unexpected and unusual. After all, that’s why they bought a smart car. So we created a GPS-based smartphone app that encourages drivers to take an adventurous road trip in their smart and ‘get lost’.

Rockin' smart poster

Here's a cute little POS poster that flags up how much fun it is to go exploring in a smart car. We're sure the fact that copywriter Ross comes from Norfolk has nothing to do with the high proportion of East Anglian seaside destinations that feature...

Cake sale!

For the next few weeks we will be raising money for Cancer Research UK by selling cakes made by people in the agency. This week we have strawberry cupcakes by Nisha, ginger biscuits by Angela and chocolate fudge cake by Laura. If anyone is popping by, make sure you have a spare couple of quid.

What I learned at SXSW - IPA talk

Last night saw a very interesting IPA talk at the 44 Club, the new Google Campus venue, all about learnings from SXSW Interactive 2012. There were four speakers who covered a wide variety of topics, with useful insights for anyone thinking of making the trip to Austin in 2013.

Weapon7 ECD Jeremy Garner chatted through five themes that he took from the festival, each punctuated with a different homemade break-bumper, such as setting fire to petrol and impromptu dinnertime for cats. His favourite talks were from luminaries such as Biz Stone and Stephen Wolfram.

Say hello to the new boys

We've had a few new joiners recently, and here's but two of them: that's Louis on the left and David on the right. Louis is working on reception and in office management, and loves Arsenal, the gym, cooking, life, sports, sport and more sport. He has a curious dislike of petrol stations.

David is an account director who's never more happy than when he's out having dinner and a drink with friends. In his spare time he works for Childline as a volunteer councillor, and has a bunch of interests including travel, tech, reading, walking, writing. Welcome to the Weapon7 fray!
